bcb723 I sat on this one a while before listening. What a mistake - really good stuff here that meets at an almost doom/thrash sound. The trio format allows a focused directness to these riffs and songs, with room for the melodies of the howled punkish vocals to crawl on top of the bottomless riffs. That verse, guitar bridge and fade-out solo on "As Certain As The Grave"... incredible. The fact that this is their debut is insane - a great album and band to support on the next Bandcamp Friday. Favorite track: As Certain as the Grave.

Thick clouds of smoke at noonday bright, Will hide the sunshine from your sight.

We greet them with suffering Sickles shine with the break of day “Take me!” Casket plunged into the sea Ride through the night alone. “Follow me!” The forgotten lives of those still inside All that is heard is a chorus of cries The forgotten lives of those still inside All that is heard is a chorus of cries Leeches are cold but remind you of home We greet them with suffering “Take me!” Casket plunged into the sea Alone. “Follow me, ride!”

These fields belong to no one - no one here but ghosts And the screams that were buried before the frost Mouths with thirsty throats, one way to survive The last you’ll ever see: the waking of the Beast Famine take me I have forgotten my love of death These fields of war, this means of terror Nothing to look towards, this is our emperor Call my name, Holodomor The last you’ll ever see With last dying grasp there are no words to ask This is the mourning path: crown of teeth, skin on staff Into my dripping grave, body on display Rotting and grey Famine take me I have forgotten my love of death With last dying grasp there are no words to ask This is the mourning path: crown of teeth, skin on staff Into my dripping grave, body on display Rotting and grey

Beneath the bloodied soils, the Architect of Fates Of gateways unfolding into a blanket of blackness ever-flowing. The Sayers spoke of wisdom, vastness, inverse time, Existence cruel, and malice as certain as the grave. Roots grow branch and limb, are altered alchemically, Dripping liquid crystal, radiating heat. Cadaver’s rotting head, a form of life renewed. Tally all my worth and dump me with the dead. The Sayers spoke of wisdom, vastness, inverse time, Existence cruel, and malice as certain as the grave. Roots grow branch and limb, are altered alchemically, Dripping liquid crystal, radiating heat. “Blood drip faster!” Our blood is old. The coffin shuts. We are not alone. “Blood drip faster!” Our blood is old. The trumpet sounds. We’re not alone.

“I swear before God to accomplish, in Russia, my royal mission - to purge the Motherland of her savage enemies.”

I Emerge 06:09
I emerge one last time, To crawl from this burial I emerge. Piles of stone, crushed bone. You won’t know me beneath the machine I emerge. Awake in grave, Remember life, I am alone and dark, Where once was light. Awake in grave, Remember life, I am alone and dark, Where once was light.

As We Pass 05:53
Removing wolves from flesh - For years I’ve used crystal coffins to send shepherds away. The fields hide, the innocent rise. The steam from the kill reveals a life living still, A life living still, a life living still. Stillborn are the freedoms that surround us. A grin of blood, murder in grasp. Blood drip faster, expose the weakness below As we pass. Before the blood is drained, raped, and turned to ash, Blood drip faster, skin peel back. Before the blood is drained, raped, and turned to ash, Blood drip faster, skin peel back - peel back.

Seven faces glare larger than the sun Burning flesh from form. Masters, Anti-lords, Black suns mask our scorn. My panic, my war: Without time, without breath, Without food, without rest. Without time, without breath, Without food, without rest. Without time, without breath, Without food, without rest. A life of misery. A life of misery. Melt away into the arms of the Beast. Melt away into the Beast. We rule a world we cannot ignite -- no pulse, no life. The sun fell from the sky, everything to die. For moments we float, we fly. Close my last eye. Night is what I know, Below red rivers flow. Ghosts devour stars and dissolve without end. A measure of sorrow, the weight of my wounds. I turn my head, a crystal rain falls over me. I turn my head, a crystal rain falls. Melt away into the arms of the Beast. Melt away into the Beast. Grant me access... Grant me access to the Transformation Room.
